Saint Isaac’s Cathedral is considered to be Russia’s largest orthodox church and the world’s fourth-largest cathedral. This magnificent Cathedral is dedicated and named after Saint Isaac of Dalmatia. The construction of this cathedral was commissioned by Tsar Alexander I.
The cathedral flaunts a neoclassical architectural style, featuring a huge gold-plated central dome along with four subordinate domes. The exterior of the cathedral features 112 red granite columns and is adorned with pink and grey stones.
